Grand Master Daniel Cruz

Grand Master Daniel Cruz began his training in the art of Hapkido under the tutelage of Grand Master Bong Soo Han over 32 years ago. As an active member of the International Hapkido Federation since l975, he has participated in the development of the IHF training both students and Instructors. Over the years, he has led numerous FBI law enforcement training sessions, and Hapkido seminars throughout the world with Grand Master Han. Master Cruz has appeared in several television and movie projects and also participated in the development of Grand Master Han's Hapkido martial arts instructional videotape series. Master Cruz has actively officiated and competed in tournaments for over 20 years, winning numerous major U.S. Regional State Championship and National Grand Championship Karate tournaments during the bare knuckle "blood and guts" era.

Master Julia Khan

Master Julia Khan is a dedicated lifetime martial artist who prides herself on the never-ending pursuit of the unification of the mind, body and spirit. Her commitment to the martial arts began at the age of eight, when she commenced training in Tae Kwon Do under Ik Sung Kim. She studied Tae Kwon Do diligently before also pursuing the paths of Hapkido and Kumdo. During these formative years, you could often find Master Khan traveling back and forth between the Taekwondo and the Hapkido schools.

As a certified 5th Dan (Degree) Black Belt, Master Khan enjoys sharing her extensive experience with martial artists of all backgrounds. She has been teaching across the United States for over 20 years, and has been the recipient of numerous awards and commendations, including Grand Championships from the U.S. Metropolitan Open. With more than 25 years of experience in Taekwondo, Hapkido, and Kumdo (NY & Washington State Team Captain), Master Khan is proficient in teaching all ages and levels of experience from beginners to black belts.

In the early 2000's, Master Khan began teaching Hapkido. Since that time, she has worked to introduce the art of Han Hapkido to martial artists across the country. Coming in 2014, Master Khan will open the first Han Hapkido school in the North East, Do Shim Hapkido. Today, in addition to her martial arts practice, Master Khan furthers her pursuit of a healthy balanced lifestyle by studying exercise physiology, Buddhist philosophy, and theology at Union Theological Seminary in NYC.
